"The Worker" works for us...
We know what you're thinking. "Party Dozen aren't on Best & Fairest! They're on GRUPO!".
Well, yes, that may be the case. But we at Best & Fairest still have the pleasure of working with Kirsty Tickle and Jonathan Boulet. It's just in a management capacity, which is arguably even better for at least one of the sides.
Anyway, the reason we're even talking about Party Dozen is because they have released a new song and video today and, well, you've probably just got to have a watch and a listen because there's nothing we can say that will do it justice.
Recorded at Sydney's Phoenix Central Park art gallery as part of their SPACE/NOISE series, "The Worker" is typically noisy, abrasive and loud, and yet may just be their most listenable track to date. Essentially, but not obviously, a live performance, the video was shot by Entropico and captures the duo's raw energy in a haze of strobe and smoke.
